September 15 - Tommy Warlick of the Mecklenburg Landmarks Commission will speak about their current projects including the stabilization and enhancement of Sugaw Creek Cemetery #1, where Rev Alexander Craighhead is buried.
November 17 - Katie Grafer, President of the Olde Mecklenburg Genealogical Society will speak about doing our own family research.

History List members receive an email on the 1st of each month that the MHS History Calendar has been published and a similar notification when the MHS Newsletter is published quarterly. The calendar lists events of interest to the history community that are local or within easy driving distance of Charlotte. The newsletter includes articles of interest to the history community and information about dinner programs and other events sponsored by the MHS.
