EVIDENCE OF ORIGIN: Descended in Dr. David Caldwell family
Description: Porcelain, “Old Paris” dinnerware comprising of plates, cups, saucers, bowls, pitcher, etc.   Handpainted with various old European-looking buildings and garden views.  Gilt edges.
History: This dinnerware was the wedding china of Harriet Elizabeth Davidson Caldwell and Dr. Thomas T. Caldwell, who lived at “Rosedale” on the Salisbury Road (today North Tryon Street), Charlotte, NC.   They were married in 1826.
