Our November Dinner (open to all historians and interested parties) and Annual Members Meeting (before the program) will be held November 18th at 6:30 at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 3115 Providence Road.

The business meeting will begin promptly at 7:15 after the dinner. (If you are a member in good standing, please come as will be voting to make some updates to the By-Laws and we will be electing new Board Members).

Our presentation will be a workshop with local author, Carol Baldwin. Join us for an evening of discovering something new about your history. Bring an old family photograph, a souvenir, or a special item passed from generation to generation. More than just preserving physical artifacts, we should practice preserving the context of our artifacts. Come ready to play a game, explore, and have fun!

Carol’s forthcoming debut novel, Half-Truths, takes place in Charlotte in 1950 and is coming out on April 2, 2025. She is happy to be a new member of the Mecklenburg Historical Association and can’t wait for you to discover the secrets buried in her book.

Carol’s Bio:
